Ishin Japanese Dining

Another food post! I was suppose to post this up a loooooooog time ago but I couldn't find the pictures in my hard-disk. So, sorry for being soo late.

This is a Japanese restaurant called Ishin Japanese Dining, along Jalan Klang Lama, KL. Directly opposite '3 Miles', where the Old Town Kopitiam and Pappa Rich is.
It's kind of a pricey restaurant I would say. Just by the looks of the restaurant, you wouldn't have also guessed it's pricey. Dad was having a late meeting that day and couldn't make it home for dinner. So mom & I decided to go out for food and thought of giving this place a try.

The restaurant looks pretty classy and has a quite atmosphere.
The sushi bar...
So these are the food that we tried...

California Sushi.
Mom's Avacado Salad. This was sooo disgusting for me. I'm not an avacado fan at all, so this was really a huge turn off for me... But mom seemed to like it.
And for our main course, we shared a combo set dinner. This, I would say is quite reasonably priced as it's RM39/ Rm49 (can't remember which was it) for a rice set that comes with a Chawanmushi, Miso Soup, a Unagi fillet, Tempura and fruits. It's all my favorite japanese food all-in-one! Perfect set for me :) The ingredients they use are pretty fresh, even the fruits. The Chawanmushi had a really smooth texture and well seasoned.

As I compared the prices of the menu of this restaurant and another Japanese restaurant, also along Jalan Klang Lama called Nihon Kai, which is my family's favorite Japanese restaurant. The food there is cheaper in Nihon Kai of course (except for the combo set dinner I had above, the rest are all cheaper) but the quality of the ingredients used is the same. Overall, I still prefer Nihon Kai. The food there is cheaper and tastier. But this is also not bad..

Mac turns 2-0...

So we planned a surprise party for Mac last Friday night.
The plan was to meet at his house and wait for him to come back from the gym...
We all hid in his room, and while waiting, Chris and Yudhi were practicing how to play the 'happy birthday' song on the guitar.
But sadly, epic fail =.='

Mac walked in unsurprised saying he already knew there was a birthday surprise waiting for him because Arif gave it away the night before and he heard our voices from outside the house =.='

Well anyway, we had fun... Happy Birthday Mac!!

Here's the birthday boy opening his card in his gym outfit...

These were the lil cupcakes for the birthday boy...
After the surprise, we waited for him to bath and clean up.. Then we went down to buy KFC for dinner... We ordered a bucket of chicken with 2 large boxes of colesflaw and mashed potatoes each.. But they were left with only the small ones...
And apparently 4 small ones equals to a large 1... and they only had 2 small colesflaws left so they exchanged it for mashed potatoes... And that's how we ended up with so many mashed potatoes like in the photo...
So the party started with everyone eating and drinking...

When the boys got a bit high, they made poor Chris carry a red soft toy with a bottle of black label and asked him to act gay. (inside story)...

Well, epic fail for him... Arif was teaching him how to do that gay hand action...
Even the girlfriend tried to teach him... hahaha... total epic fail...
Being the birthday boy, Mac was forced to slam 5 shots of slam shots as they called it...

Phew... this was when he started to get drunk...
The boys... (Left: Chris, Chris again, Madhi
Birthday boy finally got drunk and started dancing like a lil kid... so did Chris...

The boys drank while we girls played cards.. We look like those 'si lai' always meeting up for mahjong games, gossiping bout other ppl's children and stuff. But instead of playing MahJong, we play cards instead... haha
The 3 gay-keteers...
(left:) Beverly & Amelia... Amelia was the organizer of this party... Thank Amelia!! :)
Annette's friends joined in later on.. Alex and girlfriend...
Birthday boy wasted...
Playing Bluff... And Arif sucked in it... look at the amount of cards!!!
The anti-socials after getting sober again... Both twittering...

The Meat & Wine Co.

Last night, A bunch of friends and I tried this Restaurant along the Yarra River called

It's a very cozy place with comfy seats and ambiance and of coz the beautiful view of the Yarra River...
The food, was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!! Like really really fantastic!!

For our appetizer, we tried this beef sausage skewer.
Sooooo yummy!!! The sausage was sooo juicy and the onion just adds flavor to it...

A friend had Chicken Burger. served with chips and fried onions...
Didn't try the burger but the fried onions were just soooo addictive!!!
Couldn't stop munching on it coz she doesn't like onions...

Next is something that you'll most prolly only get to eat in Australia...

Kangaroo Meat..
This is something soooo yummy to my friends but not for me...
Sooo gamy!!!

This next dish was very very delicious too...
Full Rack of Lamb Ribs...
Perfect for lamb-lovers and people who loves meat with strong herbs taste...

Final dish... The star of the night for me... and it's also my dish... Shared with Maekhoo and Mac..

Full Rack of Pork Ribs!!!! Mmm Yum Yum Yummy~~~
It's sooo well marinated to total perfection and it's not too oily... The ribs is not soo meaty and not meatless... plus, it has not much fats in it so it's safe for people who are weight cautious...
And it's sooo awesome and delicious that you guys just have to try it if you have the chance too...

And to end our dinner, the 3 pork rib eaters ended with The Grand Finale...
Which was literally the name of our dessert...
It's a combination of all the desserts served in the restaurant...
From the front: Pineapple Cheesecake, Pecan pie, Vanilla ice-cream, Chocolate Fondante and Vanilla Creme Brulee...
I personally loved the Pineapple Cheesecake and Chocolate Fondante...
The cheesecake is not too cheesy... The cheese is really really light that it's like eating yummy pineapple foam with chocolate biscuit crumbs at the bottom as the base of the cheesecake.
As for the Chocolate Fondante, it's like eating really soft brownies... The whole is soft and spongy with the outside being a lil crunchy and the inside is like chocolate sauce oozing out...
Just F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!!!
and not to mention the good service they provide there...

That's the end of food...
I'll relax your tummy, mind and soul with some random pictures taken tru out the dinner and after...
Here are the 2 Kangaroo Eaters... Left: Jeng and Arif...
The pork Rib eaters... Left: Mac, Me and Maekhoo

Arif was just soo lost and quite tru out the dinner so we decided to squeeze a beautiful big smile from him and i caught it on camera!!!
We walked passed the Yarra River before heading home...
The reflections in this picture is simply amazing!!!
And there was this bridge there that reminds me of london bridge.
The reflections are pretty too... just wished the lamp post wasn't that bright there...
Another picture of Arif... He was doing some silly things like trying to check if there were fishes in the river...
Some random photos i snapped of Melbourne city...
This is the top of the Flinders Train Station...
The Melbourne city at night... The awesome view from Mac's room!!!
This is during the day...

Full House

Ok, so these pictures you're about to see are some pretty old pictures...
Somewhere is December 2009, my bunch of friends and I ate in this cafe in Pyramid called Full House.
It's a pretty nice place, but I have to say, the food wasn't that great to me.
But we still had fun, catching up, hanging out and just cam-whored... Like mad...

Some of the pictures are edited... I was bored so I started playing around with Picasa.
Photoshop is just too complicated for me to remember how to do things and my poor laptop can't take it's pressure too so yeah... Just some simple play-arounds... Not a pro, so don't mind it if it's bad editing or photo-taking...

Nicole & I
Christopher
Maekhoo & I

Here's the star of that night...
Yes, this lil yellow mini minor...(I think, correct me if i'm wrong bout what type of car this is)

We took tons of pictures in and around this car. These are some of the pictures taken...
Oh and I heard, they don't allow customers to take picture with this car anymore...
Think we or someone else broke something... But anyhooo...
Don't care, we left our marks!!! hahaha...

Don't really know how to do sepia pictures... I just let picasa auto do it for me... hahaha
I love black and whites and also sepia pictures... It sort of gives it an old vintage-y feeling..
But I don't really know how to really edit them...
This is something i found pretty cool...
Black & White!!!
The sugar-daddy...

Judging by this picture, I think we were the ones who broke something in the car or damaged the car... Look at how many people are in that lil car!!!

Hope you like it... Comments are welcome...
But please be reminded, I'm not a pro...
So please don't be mean :)
