Btw, i'm actually working right now... But... Afternoon shift is a total bore!!! especially starting from 9pm!!! no guests... no managers... just me, myself and the com... Though, it's pretty scary when it's time to off and lock... same goes for the morning shift - on and unlock... urgh!!! hate the darkness!!!
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I visited Aquaria, KLCC. It was... not bad i think... but they can do better. once i entered, there were 3 small touch pools - 1 with sharks like below...
1 with starfishes
And 1 more with Horseshoe Crabs which i didn't touch nor took picture.
Moving on... I'll just show you pictures of some of the creatures they have in Aquaria.
Pirannas. They had loads of pirannas. Like a few aquariums filled with Pirannas...
Then there were snakes...
Green Tree Viper.
Python. Reminded me of the 1 in Bintan
And then, there's the tortoise family...
Can't remember what this is called. Rock turtle? can't even spot where it's eyes are...
Next, Scorpians...
There were the amphibians too...
Leave Frog i think...
And after having fun looking at those creatures... Next is 1 I fear most!!!
Spiders!!!!!!
After those hidious 8 legged freaks... I spotted this really cute sleeping aligator...
It's as if it's smilling while it's sleeping... cute huh?
Now, my mom's worst fear - Lizards!!!
Well, these aren't really lizards but geckos... Anyway, they still belong to the same family...
Gliding Gecko
Spotted Gecko... (you can see my camera's reflection!!! haha)
Can't remember the name to this lil thing... But it looks cute... look at it sleeping so soundly like a baby...
Green-eyed Gecko
This big guy was sooooo lazy... just look at it's expression(if it even has one)... Lazy bump
Now to some mammals...
Aren't they cute?!?! Seriously, they were sooo puny!!! they were like just palm size...Ok, back to the marine... Let me show you, 1 of my favourite marine creature...
It's poisonous,
has spikes,
has stripes,
and it opens up something like a peacock,
What is it???
LION FISH!!!
Pretty huh?soooooo many of them!!! but it was quite hard for me to take a whole group photo as they were everywhere in the aquarium...This was my best shot...Now, the Finale...
Underwater World in s'pore has the rotating thingy where it brings you round this long aquarium where the sharks and rays are mainly at? well, they have it here in Aquaria as well... But sadly, it's not as long as the 1 in Singapore... Here are some pictures taken in there...
Man-made Shipwreck
Another of my favourite marine creature
Guess what's the funniest fish on earth?
CLOWNFISH!!! a.k.a NEMO
Another of my favourite...
TURTLES!!!
Next, some snake-like creatures...
Black Spotted Eels.
This fish has Angelina Jolie's Lips....Some weird looking shark... If i'm not mistaken, it's known as the Sand Shark. No idea how you spell the name of this fish...
I think it's spelt
Anyway, It's HUGE!!!Just compare it with me!!!
The rays... There's a super big gigantic ray... The 1 and only giant in the whole aquarium...
Nope, not this 1...
This is the fellow you're looking for... (well, you can't really tell tru the pictures... you have to see it for yourself, to believe how huge it is...)This is it's tail...Now, compare it with a great white...
Lastly, the sharks... There's an interesting story to this... wait and see...
Ok, now to the story... while i was in that rotating thingy just admiring the marine lives... there were this small group of students and teachers on a tour... And their tour guide (a staff), was explaining what kinda marine creatures they have in the aquarium...
Turns out, out of soo many sharks, there is only 1 male in the whole aquarium... and a boy from the group asked...
Boy: How do you differentiate them?
staff: easy, ok let me show you...
a male and 2 extra 'tails'...
Everyone: huh?!?!?!
Ok, here's to solve the 'tail' mystery... Let me show you...
This is a female shark...
And this... is a male shark... Spot the differents??? Found the 'tails'?And that's the end of the story...
Now, for some cam-whoring session...
I love this picture!!! My favourite pic of the day...See that Orca a.k.a Killer Whale on the far right?
The next time I visit Aquaria, it's gonna be MINE!!!
Octopus hat anyone???
Ok, that's the end of my long and boring post of Aquaria... Stay tune for more...
Hopefully, it won't be as boring as this...
Most probably be more food posts coming... So, you can guess how i should look like now...
