Clumsy Human Of The Forest

Human of the forest. Bet you guys are wondering what's that...
well, if you translate that directly into Malay, it'll be 'Orang Hutan' or as we call them,'Orang-Utan'.

My parents just showed me pictures of their trip to the 'Cat City' aka 'Kuching', Sarawak; and i found this video of an Orang Utan eating that my dad took. Kinda hilarious.

They said that the name Orang Utan was given to this ape because it looks almost like a human being just that it doesn't talk. It has hands and feets like humans; 4 fingers and an opposable thumb, feet has 4 long toes and an opposable big toe. Just like a human. And I've read somewhere on the Internet that 58% of Orang Utans fall off trees caused by clumsiness.

So my thought was, if Orang Utans are almost like a human being, and their really clumsy. Then that explains why humans are really clumsy as well. Hahahaha...
(or is it the other way round??? =.=')

Anyhow, here's the video. Hope it'll make you laugh like it did for me. =)
See how it's eating and then loses it's balance. and when it thinks the thin brunch can support it's weight as it walks and again, loses it's balance. It's so funny and cute at the same time!!!
(Ignore my mom's voice in the video though, she always talks when ppl's taking a video =.=')
(but i still love her. =) )

Isn't it cute?!?!?! (i bet Niniek would love this video)

Apple-licious Event...

Hello again butterflies... sorry for the long delay... had some technical problems in uploading pictures... but anyhow, I'm back... and this is my 1st blog post posted using my baby blue - Tanner!!!!!!

I'm sure everyone heard of 'An apple a day, keeps the doctor away' right?
Well, let me teach you a new phrase...

'Steam an apple a day, leaves Andrew's house apple-ly smoky'

On Thursday, went to mid valley to watch the new Harry Potter : the Half-Blooded Prince with Mr. Tall and Mr.Navigator . During lunch, we've received a very long waited good news. Our beloved teacher/mother - Mrs Ng, has finally given birth to a pretty, healthy baby girl - Maxine Ng!!!

At 3pm, Mr. Tall suddenly remembered that he forgot to off the fire at home. His steamed apple, boiling since 1030am and was suppose to be off-ed at 11am!!! We 'rushed' home for him and along the way, we passed a fire truck, and Mr.Navigator kept saying 'it's going to your house!' Poor Mr. tall, all shaky at the back seat. lol!!!

When we arrived at the apple scene, the house was smoky... entered, and the whole place smelled like sugary apple.

BBQ Apple anyone???

Now Mr. tall has another thing to worry about. What to tell him mom?

Time to clean up the crime scene and hide all evidence...

Tried so many detergents finally, the stain started to come off...

See the big smile... mischievous smile...

Evidence that was playfully disposed off...

What an apple-licious event... lol...

I Have The License To Open Waters...

I've finally got my diving pictures!!!

Got my Open Water Diving License in April (which explains the title of this post)... but the pictures took like 2 months to be delivered. Why? because the guy who was suppose to pass me the pictures forgot to bring the cd when sending me off, and my 'instructor' got lost in the post office... =.='

Anyway, here are some pictures and a video of my 1st diving experience...

The 'botak' is my so called instructor while the other guy, Zamiry is a friend of his who helps out.

This is me diving... The water was hot i tell you... Weird, i know...
Clearing Mask Underwater... Hate doing this... Hurts the eyes...
My 'Botak' instructor who thinks he's so macho...
This is a video of me trying to float and sink underwater - Controlling my Buoyancy...

Overall, the experience was fun... but the island (Sapi Island) i was diving at was kind of disappointing as it's a man-made beach.. so there weren't much corals and fishes to see... but there were quite a few sting-rays hiding under all those sand to a point where it was kinda scary to land on the sand underwater. Who knows i might just accidentally step on 1 and it pierces it's tail into my leg or whatever. lol... it was disappointing to not see any turtles as well. And my sis manage to see 1 by just looking up towards the surface underwater and poof, there was a turtle swimming pass by. =.=' speak about bad luck.

But who cares, now that i got my license, i can go diving anywhere!!!! Haha...

Anyone wanna join???

Island Of GEM

Hey!!! This blog has finally revived!!! sorry to keep you guys waiting. (as if anyone is...)

Anyway, back in college now... Going to get busy with assignments and all. (Yeah, right!) ha!

BUT!

Before starting my ALL SO BORING classes, I went to have a taste of seawater with my family in 1 of Terengganu's AWESOME beach - Gem Island a.k.a Pulau Gemia. Seriously, I think Terengganu has the best beaches ever!!! (So far anyway) I know most of you would say Sipadan is way way way awesome, but... I have not been there yet, so so far Terengganu's the best for me. And for those who don't know where Gem Island is, it's the island opposite Kapas Island. With 101 chalet on the island.

Once we arrived, welcome drinks were served as usual, had a little briefing by the GM of the resort. I 'flew' to my room to get changed once the keys were handed to me. And away i go! away i go into the turquoise coloured salt water. Boy was the water clear, they had tons of marines to admire. AND AND AND!!! they had my all time favourite marine - The Clown Fish! They were everywhere! Took in my new awesome underwater camera and took tons of pictures of them. And i mean TONS... Well, the clown fishes were the only ones dominating the waters. There's another marine life that dominated this beach, and it's not very friendly. It's black with spikes to horrifying that you don't want to swim near it at all. It's none other than the Sea Urchins!!! They're like everywhere in the waters.

But first! let me show you my comfy comfy bed...

nice huh... the room's awesome too!!!
And now my favourites...

This is my favourite picture of the clown fish... the nicest and prettiest clown fish anemone too...

Saw really nice parrot fishes too... Once there's bread in the water, there's no way escaping... They'll come from every angle possible... Waters were so clear that everything looked sooooo fantastic underwater.

These are some of the other marine lives that you can see there...

Christmas Corals
I think this is called Fan Worms...
And this cute shy Porcupine Fish. This is a lucky shot as they're always hiding under big corals.
During this trip, I've also experienced something which i don't wish to experience a second time in my life... At least not till I've overcome my sea sickness... That is Squid fishing... They took us way out into the South China Ocean, stopped in the middle of no where and started dropping the fish lines into the deep deep deep blue sea. And man! the boat was rocking like mad! To a point where it can actually overturn. No, I'm serious. Water was actually pouring in from the sides as it's rocking. And of coz, I came back to the resort empty handed but gave the sea everything I've got =.=' But, mom was lucky... She was the 1st to fish up squids.. and she caught 2!!!

Yay mom!!!
These were our dinner for that night. I didn't eat any. And I'm not eating squid for awhile...
During our last evening, Dad and I were bored, so we decided to venture round the rocks by the end of the beach.

That's dad thinking he can lift that big rock...
And me waiting for him to stop trying...

And during the night, went for a last walk along the beach before heading home the next day. We found hermit crabs crawling on the beach...

Fun creatures...
Oh before I missed out these really adorable creatures... There's a pond where they rare turtles!!! and then put them back into the sea when they're old enough...

I had a picture carrying 1 of them but sadly, some monkeys stole my phone and now the pictures are gone.... Curse them!!!

Overall this was a really relaxing yet fun trip. Best thing to do before heading back to hell -college.
